A hermetically sealed centrifugal pump, dry mounted true cantilever with mag drive and non-product lubricated bearings.

Our centrifugal pump design is a true cantilever pump and features non-product lubricated bearings and mag-drive. It is gas pressure compensated making it ideal for dry mounting and pumped media cannot rise inside the pump.

The pump design has several novel features that maximize all heat transfer modes; convection, conduction and radiation. The lower section of the pump features separated heat soak zones with thermal barriers for a steep temperature gradient along the shaft. Innovations are not disclosed in detail, however, using this solution allow usage of conventional internal components as well as forced gas cooling in closed loop circulation by a separate mag drive side channel blower.

Furthermore, pump is equipped with a high-temp magnetic coupling on top driven by a standard electric motor. The pump is operated with a variable frequency drive.

The magnetic drive has minimum eddy-current losses and incorporates forced air cooling on the outside of the can.

The hermetically sealed pressurized gas containment makes the pump suitable for both high- and low mounting position for optimum hydraulic performance.

Bearings are incorporated with a thermal expansion compensated system and run in a pressurized inert gas environment. Bearings are lubricated by a separate media. No bearings are submerged in pumped media and pump dry running is without restrictions. In cases where product vapor would deposit in cold areas, gas purging can be incorporated to prevent vapor mitigation.

Overall, pump is designed for high safety and reliability while operating at ultra-high temperature. Generous radial clearances between rotating- and stationary parts ensure no contact even during most extreme temperature differentials or in case of vibrations.

The centrifugal pump is suitable for medium to high flow applications and relatively low head requirements. It operates with a variable frequency drive.
